WhatsApp now has a built-in option to hide voter names on group polls (announced 4 August 2026). When you create a poll in a WhatsApp group, look for the option to hide voter names. WhatsApp hasn't said whether the poll creator can still see votes when names are hidden.
When that is enough — a single group, everyone has WhatsApp — use the built-in poll. When you need a link across groups, a QR code, voters without WhatsApp, or classroom mode on shared Wi-Fi, use a link poll instead.

How to create a link poll for WhatsApp in 60 seconds
